NR‑05 and NR‑05 Pro

Set up

  1. 1The EU SIM is inserted and activated. There is nothing to register.
  2. 2Save up to three emergency numbers by text message. Then the device is ready.
  3. 3To charge it, place the device in its cradle. With the NR‑05 Pro it stays there at home while you wear the wristband.

Credit

The credit on the inserted EU SIM lasts two years for up to 30 emergency calls and texts per month. After that, you add credit for another two years.

Set up

  1. 1Charge and place: the control unit charges via USB‑C and holds on its magnetic pad, no drilling.
  2. 2Switch on and adjust: set the sensitivity with the dial or in the app.
  3. 3Connect the app: there you arm and disarm and see where your vehicle is.

How to install an app from a file

Credit

According to the manufacturer, the included 500 MB of data is designed for about nine years of operation. When it is used up, you top up online.

Some older apps can no longer be installed on very new devices. The Aris app, for example, can only be installed up to Android 13. Please write to us if an app does not work for you.

How to install an app from a file

Android asks for your permission once before it installs apps that do not come from Google Play. Since Android 8 you give this permission to each app separately, for example to your browser or to the app you use to open files. The setting is called "Install unknown apps".

  1. 1On your smartphone or tablet, tap "Download" next to the app you need.
  2. 2If your browser asks whether you want to keep the file, confirm the download.
  3. 3Open the file from the notification or from the "Downloads" folder.
  4. 4Android says that apps from this source are not allowed. Tap "Settings" and allow the app shown there to install unknown apps.
  5. 5Go back and tap "Install".
  6. 6If Google Play Protect shows a warning, check the file size as described in the security note. Only continue if it matches.
  7. 7Turn the permission off again afterwards. You can find it by searching the settings for "unknown apps".

Up to Android 7 there is one setting for all apps. It is called "Unknown sources" and you find it in the settings under "Security".

Transferring the file from a computer

The easiest way is to download the file directly on your smartphone or tablet. If you downloaded it on a computer, do this:

  1. 1Connect your smartphone or tablet to the computer via USB.
  2. 2On the device, choose the connection type "File transfer".
  3. 3Copy the file to the "Download" folder on the device.
  4. 4Open the file on the device and follow the steps above.

Security note

  • Only download our apps here on smarttechnic.eu.
  • Compare the file size with the size shown on this page. If it differs, delete the file and do not install it.
  • You can see the size in your browser's list of downloads or in the file details.
  • Do not install files that someone sends you as an attachment or via a messenger.
  • If you want to be completely sure, also compare the checksum (SHA-256) that we list for every file.
