In caravans and vans, windows and doors often have aluminium or steel frames. If a wireless contact sits directly on metal, the frame can block the radio signal and the control unit receives no alarm.
On the Door and Window Contact Plus, the magnetic switch sits at the end of a 20 cm cable. Mount the switch and magnet on the frame and the door or window as usual. Place the radio transmitter next to them, away from the metal.
Use the Contact Plus when a standard contact does not trigger an alarm, or straight away for the rear doors. Sometimes moving the control unit to another place also helps.
