The 9 V lithium battery lasts about five years.
The wireless smoke detector monitors the interior for smoke and heat. An optical sensor detects smoke, and an additional heat sensor triggers at about 57 °C.
The detector sounds its own siren, even when the alarm system is not armed. When the CarPro-Tec is armed, the alarm system reacts as well and you receive a message on your smartphone.
The 9 V lithium battery lasts about five years. About four to six weeks before it needs replacing, the detector gives a visual and audible warning. Use the test button to check it works.
